HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. — Fire rescue crews responded Monday afternoon to a boat fire off Hallandale Beach near North Surf Road and Taylor Street.

The call came in around 1:45 p.m.

Sky 10 flew over the scene shortly after, as first responders worked to extinguish the blaze aboard the 22-foot vessel with fire hoses.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office advised that the boat was not docked or anchored when the fire erupted.

Crew members with the United States Coast Guard said they assisted and took two male passengers aboard their vessel to safety, one of whom had previously been pulled from the water by a Good Samaritan.

Authorities said no injuries have been reported at this time and the fire has been extinguished.

No other details about the fire were immediately released.
