PARKLAND, Fla. — The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School band is heading overseas.

On Thursday, band members celebrated after finding out they would be heading to Rome for a New Year’s Day parade next year.

The band will perform through some of Rome’s most storied landmarks, such as the Spanish Steps and St. Peter’s Square.

Their landmark performance in Italy will have to wait, as its set for New Year’s 2027.
