Officers said they met Wednesday with Hard Rock security, who reported that a man, identified as Kamal Curtis Lundy, 40, had attempted to cash in the chips at a cashier’s window.

Surveillance video shows Lundy handing the chips to the cashier before briefly walking away, police said.

According to the arrest report, Lundy then returned to the window, reached over the counter and took the chips from the cashier’s cage.

Police said Lundy later tried to cash out $6,005 worth of chips at another cashier’s cage inside the casino, located at 1 Seminole Way.

Security confronted him, and he returned the remaining chips, the report stated.

Lundy was taken into custody and transported to the Broward Main Jail.

He did not appear in the Broward Sheriff’s Office online inmate records as of Friday morning.

Jail records show he is facing one count of grand theft of more than $10,000 but less than $20,000.
