DORAL, Fla. — A man was arrested after he allegedly entered a woman’s home in Doral and ransacked her underwear drawer, authorities said.
According to Doral police, 25-year-old Tomas Bof Miract broke into the victim’s home along the 5500 block of 107th Avenue on Friday, between 12:30 p.m. and 1:10 p.m.
The victim told police she returned home to find a pair of sandals on the floor, and thinking her mother was there, called out to her, but instead noticed a man fleeing out her front door.
When the woman checked her home, she found her underwear drawer had been opened and plundered, finding two pairs on the floor “containing what appeared to be possible semen,” according to a police report.
Police said the woman contacted her HOA president who uploaded security footage of Bof Miract to a community chat, and soon after, an anonymous tip identified the suspect and listed his address.
Officers said after they were notified, they responded to the home and spoke with Bof Miract’s parents, who identified him as the person seen in the surveillance video.
Soon after, officers located the suspect and took him into custody, after which he provided investigators with a full, detailed confession, police said.
Officers arrested him on a felony count of burglary of an occupied dwelling and criminal mischief and took him to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
