PLANTATION, Fla. — A large police presence was observed outside a hotel in Plantation.

It was happening at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites located at 1701 N. University Dr.

Plantation police officers and a Broward Sheriff’s Office SWAT team were observed there, and the response was due to an armed barricaded subject, according to authorities.

That subject is being sought on active felony warrants, police said.

Authorities asked the public to stay clear of the area.
