MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded Thursday morning to a traffic crash involving a juvenile riding an electric scooter.
The crash occurred just after 10 a.m. Preliminary investigation revealed the juvenile struck the side of a moving vehicle while riding in the roadway.
After the collision, the juvenile ran home to tell his parents, who arrived on the scene shortly after.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the juvenile to a local hospital in stable condition. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
No further information was immediately available.
