GOLDEN BEACH, Fla. — Police say they caught a nude burglar hiding in the garage of a $12 million Golden Beach home on Christmas night ― and they say it came after he broke into an even more expensive home nearby and left his clothes behind.
Vladimir Demidovich, 26, of Hallandale Beach, now faces two felony charges.
According to the Golden Beach Police Department, both burglaries happened in the 100 block of Ocean Boulevard, about 600 feet from the police station.
Police said when they found Demidovich in his birthday suit inside of the first home just before 9:45 p.m., he told them his clothes were in a nearby home.
A GBPD report states that when officers went to that home ― which, according to Miami-Dade property records, has a market value of more than $37 million ― they “found the house disturbed, drinks consumed and clothing on the second floor.”
Cops determined that Demidovich “consumed beverages” inside both houses “and (demonstrated) intent to commit theft” and arrested him on two burglary charges, according to the report.
Court records show Demidovich was out on felony bond at the time of his arrest, stemming from a pending criminal mischief case out of Sunny Isles Beach from June 5.
In that case, police said he entered the Ocean Reserve Condominium at 19300 Collins Ave. and claimed he was looking for his girlfriend and had been involved in a car crash. Police said an “unruly” Demidovich pushed over a large mirror in the lobby and broke it, leading to his arrest on the felony charge.
As of Friday afternoon, Demidovich was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, online records show.
