DANIA BEACH, Fla. — A man was arrested Monday after he allegedly shot at a Dania Beach home that was occupied, authorities said.

According to Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Claudinne Caro, a deputy heard shots being fired near the 1300 block of Southwest Fourth Avenue just after 1:50 p.m. and immediately ran toward the scene.

She said the deputy spotted the suspect, Brandon Henry, 18, running away from the area.

According to Caro, deputies discovered that Henry had shot at a home, however no one was injured.

A motive for the shooting is unclear.

Henry was arrested on charges of attempted murder, violation of pre-trial release conditions, possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent, misdemeanor battery (dating violence), and drug charges.

As of Tuesday afternoon, he was being held at the Broward County Main Jail without bond.
