MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A 57-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said he possessed and uploaded child sexual abuse material over the past year and a half.
The case began May 8, 2024, when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cyber tip from Google about an email account flagged for uploading child sexual abuse material, according to investigators.
Detectives received another cyber tip on Jan. 9 involving the same email address, which they said was linked to Raul Ricardo De-La-Rosa-Yera.
Investigators said they traced the account to De-La-Rosa-Yera and found videos depicting boys as young as 6 engaged in sexual activity, along with nude images of boys as young as 10. Authorities said he also uploaded some of the images.
They said De-La-Rosa-Yera admitted to possessing the images and to initialing each of them.
Jail records show he is facing three counts of possession of images depicting the sexual performance of a child.
As of Wednesday, he was being held on a $7,500 bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
