Interactive screening celebrating Black History Month to be held in Miramar

MIRAMAR, Fla. — A night to celebrate Black History Month is happening this weekend in South Florida.

At 5 p.m. on Sunday, there will be an interactive screening of Spike Lee’s “School Daze” at the Miramar Cultural Center, located at 2400 Civic Center Place.

Guests are asked to dress to represent their alma mater, fraternity or sorority at the event.

There will be live dancers, bringing iconic scenes to life in a celebration of HBCU culture. Concessions, free popcorn and clappers will also be available for the crowd to join in on the fun, along with curated photo areas.
