Police: No charges filed after man fatally stabs brother in Miami

Investigation, however, remains ongoing, police say

MIAMI — No charges are being filed at this time after a man fatally stabbed his own brother Wednesday night in Miami, authorities confirmed.

According to Miami police, the stabbing was reported just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment building in the area of Northwest Fifth Court and 57th Street.

Police said officers arrived at the scene and found a man, identified as Jakari Marcese Rolle, 31, suffering from a stab wound to the arm.

Miami Fire Rescue personnel transported Rolle to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he later died.

Police said Rolle’s brother was detained for questioning, but is not facing charges at this time.

The investigation, however, remains ongoing. A motive for the stabbing has not been released.
