Reward offered for information about fatal shooting in Central Broward

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — Broward Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who fatally shot a man this week in unincorporated Central Broward.

According to Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Gerdy St. Louis, the shooting was reported at about 9:42 p.m. Monday near the 2500 block of Northwest Ninth Place.

St. Louis said deputies arrived at the scene to find a man who had been shot.

A Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue unit then transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later died.

He has since been identified as 35-year-old Nathaniel Forrest.

St. Louis said detectives with BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene Units are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.

A motive remains unclear.
