DORAL, Fla. — A 44-year-old man from Hialeah was arrested Tuesday after police said he repeatedly stalked a former business partner and installed a tracking device on the victim’s vehicle.
Jail records show Gabriel Pena is facing charges of aggravated stalking, installing a tracking device without consent, and trespassing.
Doral police said the harassment began after a business deal ended two years ago, with the victim owing Pena $200,000.
The victim reported multiple “suspicious encounters,” saying Pena would appear at locations where he was, demanding repayment, according to the report.
On Dec. 4, 2025, the victim received an alert that someone was in his driveway.
Security camera footage showed a male wearing a black cap, black long-sleeve Gymshark sweater, black sweatpants, and black shoes.
Shortly after, police said the victim’s cellphone detected a tracking device in his car. Investigators later linked the device to Pena.
On Tuesday, they said the victim called police, reporting that Pena was knocking at his door.
The report stated that Pena, wearing a black cap and black Gymshark hoodie, asked, “Is this what I get for knocking on someone’s door?” when he was informed of the charges, before being taken into custody.
Authorities said Pena ignored the victim’s requests to resolve the dispute through the courts and “willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly” followed him, causing an “enormous amount of fear and distress for the victim and his family.”
As of Wednesday, he was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bond was listed as “to be set.”
