According to his arrest report, the detective was working an undercover operation involving various online platforms last week when Luis Miguel Manrique, of Pembroke Pines, messaged the detective, sending multiple explicit messages and expressing his desire to have sex with her.

Police said Manrique agreed to pick up the teen at an undisclosed location in Miami and drive her to another location where they could have sex in the backseat of his vehicle.

According to the report, Manrique agreed to bring condoms and offered to buy the teen a Happy Meal from McDonalds.

“I might be 14 but I don’t eat like one. A Happy Meal won’t cut it,” the detective wrote back, according to the report.

Police said during the conversation, Manrique asked the undercover detective if she liked to perform fellatio and whether she was a virgin.

He also asked for explicit photos of who he thought was a teen and sent photos of himself, including one in a bathrobe and one of his penis.

Police said Manrique sent the detective a photo of the condoms he intended to bring when he picked her up and told her to promise him that she won’t like another guy.

According to the report, Manrique arrived at the location Tuesday where he was supposed to pick up the teen, but instead he was pulled over by detectives and arrested.

Police said Manrique confessed to trying to meet up a teenager for sex and said that he asked her to delete photos and texts he had sent her because he “knew it was wrong.”

Manrique faces charges of using a computer to solicit/travel to meet a minor, promoting sexual performance by a child, using a computer to seduce or lure a child to engage in sexual conduct and depicting obscene material to a minor.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Manrique was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Online jail records listed his bond as “to be set.”
