Hallandale Beach police said on Aug. 28, 2025, officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 500 block of Northwest Sixth Avenue.

They said Brandon Wamley was transported to a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds and later died.

Police said preliminary findings suggest the incident was isolated and that the victim and the suspected gunman were acquainted. Officers continue to search for the shooter, going door to door and looking for clues.

Witnesses told Local 10 News last year that Wamley was a rapper known in the Broward community as Wham SpinThaBin.

Jail records obtained by Local 10 News show Wamley had a criminal history in Broward County, including charges of cannabis possession, stalking, and writing a threat to kill.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is urged to call 954-493-8477.
