According to an arrest report from the Hialeah Police Department, the incident occurred at about 6:50 a.m. Tuesday at San Lazaro Cafeteria, located at 2400 W. Second Ave.

Police said Lissette Dopico, 43, who is currently homeless, threw the rock and umbrella after she asked to use the business’s restroom and was denied access.

The complainant told police that Dopico was refused access to the restroom because she “looked problematic,” the report stated.

According to police, Dopico was asked to leave and the encounter escalated, with Dopico screaming and throwing stuff on the street.

Police said the damage to the front door costs about $3,000 to repair.

Dopico was spotted by an officer the following day, walking south along West Third Avenue, approaching West 26th Street.

Police said she admitted to shattering the front door of the business, and said she was willing to pay for the damages.

Dopico was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief over $1,000.

As of Thursday morning, she was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Online jail records listed her bond as “to be set.”
