MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A 33-year-old man was arrested Monday on accusations that he stole up to $2.5 million worth of memory cards from a business he worked at and then sold the memory cards to pay for TikTok livestreams, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said.
According to an arrest report, Ricardo Jose Blanco Nunez, of Miami, was caught by his employer, who owns Abboud Trading Corp. in Medley, “relocating” a box Monday containing 50 Kingston memory cards valued at $14,750 and then “concealing” the box within the warehouse.
Deputies said the owner called law enforcement and reported that from November 2025 to the present day, there has been an inventory shortage of Kingston memory cards totaling about $2.5 million.
According to the report, a deputy met with Blanco Nunez and he confessed to stealing a total of 55 boxes since November that contained memory cards valued at $811,250.
Deputies said Blanco Nunez told them he sold the memory cards to pay for TikTok livestreams.
He also admitted to trying to steal another box Monday, but getting caught by his employer, the report stated.
Blanco Nunez was arrested on a charge of grand theft of cargo valued over $50,000.
As of Tuesday morning, Blanco Nunez was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Online jail records listed his bond as “to be set.”
