The man who was killed, 35-year-old Troy Cannata, was shot to death by Aventura police, and now the man’s father and brother say they are still waiting for answers.

“Can we please complete this investigation,” said Michael Cannata, the victim’s father.

Not only does this family have to live with the heartbreak, but back in September both father Michael Cannata and his son Travis Cannata were arrested by Aventura police.

According to the arrest report, Travis Cannata was “filming employees and antagonizing them” when he showed back up at the salon.

But now the state is not pursuing those charges.

According to officials, the trespass allegation lacked sufficient evidence to charge as Cannata had been willing to leave but has stayed while answering police questions prior to his charging.

Now the focus of the Cannata’s remain on getting answers for their family.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement continues to investigate the shooting.

“Every day I’m reminded of him,” said Travis Cannata.
