Miami-Dade County corrections booked Maurice Thomas on April 24, 2026, at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, after he was accused of trafficking a teen at a house in Miami Gardens.

Thomas had also held her against her will in a closet at the house several times, and he did not allow her to go back to her home, according to the detective’s report.

During the investigation, the teen revealed that Thomas had also given her ecstasy pills, records show.

Police officers arrested Thomas, and corrections booked him on Friday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center near Doral, according to inmate records.

Thomas faced four charges: Human trafficking of a minor younger than 15 years old, lewd or lascivious battery on a child 12-16, delivering drug paraphernalia to a minor, and contributing to the delinquency or dependency of a child. His bond was $16,000.
