Police officers investigate shopping plaza shooting in Margate

MARGATE, Fla. — Police officers responded to a shooting at a shopping plaza on Saturday night in Margate.

The shooting was at a shopping plaza along South State Road Seven, between Southwest Second Court and Aztec Boulevard.

Three to four people were involved in a fight before the shooting, according to Maj. Michael Druzbik, a spokesman for the Margate Police Department.

“Those involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries,” Druzbik wrote in a statement.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
