Deputies identified one of the women as Ariadnis Mejias and the man as Luis Sanchez after thefts from a password-protected package room at Motion at Dadeland at 8400 South Dixie Highway, records show.

Surveillance video showed the duo stealing at least six packages on March 18, Mejias stealing three packages on March 22, and Mejias and a woman stealing two packages on March 31, according to a deputy’s report.

Among the stolen mail was a credit card that surveillance video shows Mejias and Sanchez later used to buy some $444 in merchandise at Macy’s, according to the arrest report.

Mejias surrendered to deputies on Tuesday at the Kendall District Station, and corrections booked her at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Mejias faced three counts of burglary of an occupied structure and fraudulent use of a credit card. She also had seven warrant cases while out on felony bond for burglary and petit theft.
