A 22-year-old woman appeared in court on Tuesday in Broward County after she was accused of turning a cooking pot into a weapon, records show.
Miramar police officers arrested Monay Durosier shortly after 6:40 p.m. on Monday during a traffic stop on Miramar Parkway, according to a police report.
Broward County Circuit Judge Michael Lynch had issued a warrant for Durosier’s arrest on July 24, according to court records.
A Broward Sheriff’s Office detective requested the warrant after the alleged attack on July 12 at the victim’s apartment, according to court records.
The victim reported Durosier, of Miami Gardens, and three other women “armed themselves with cooking pots and ... struck her in the back of the head,” a BSO detective wrote, according to the warrant.
Durosier faced a charge of burglary with assault or battery, a first-degree felony. Her bond was $20,000.
