MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Authorities in Miami Beach said they located an escaped prisoner they were searching for Thursday afternoon.

The Miami Beach Police Department said that a perimeter had been established near Mount Sinai Medical Center.

A large police presence could be seen near the hospital during the 4 p.m. hour on Thursday.

Police updated around 5:30 p.m. that the subject had been located and taken back into custody.

Officers then said there was no danger to the public.
