Feds warn about wet dog food recall over ‘potential metal contamination’

MIAMI — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently announced that Fromm Family Foods recalled 5,825 cans of wet dog food due to “potential metal contamination.”

The voluntary recall includes 3,852 cans of Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet Dog Food and 1,973 cans of Fromm Diner Classics Milo’s Meatloaf Pâté Wet Dog Food, according to the FDA.

The Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet Dog Food was in cans of 12.2 ounces and had UPC 072705118700 and Lot Code EP2A3306 551006 Best By 032029.

The Fromm Diner Classics Milo’s Meatloaf Pâté Wet Dog Food was in cans of 12.5 ounces, and had UPC 072705132324 and Lot Code EP2A3306 551029 Best By 032029.

As of Sunday, there hadn’t been reports of illness or injury related to the recalled products, according to the FDA. For more information, call Fromm Family Foods from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from Monday to Friday at 1-800-325-6331.
