MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — On the same day NFL teams are finalizing rosters, the Miami Dolphins are reportedly adding an experienced piece to their defense.

The Dolphins have agreed to a one-year, $3 million deal with cornerback Rasul Douglas, NFL insider Ian Rapoport confirmed Tuesday.

Douglas, 29, comes to Miami after starting 15 games for the Buffalo Bills last season.

He was widely considered the top available cornerback this offseason, with speculation linking him to the Dolphins after Jalen Ramsey’s trade and season-ending injuries to Kader Kohou and Artie Burns left the secondary thin.

The Dolphins also decided not to keep former Bengals defensive Mike Hilton and safety Ashtyn Davis is expected to miss a portion of the regular season after sustaining a lower leg injury in training camp last month.

A third-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017, Douglas has played in 120 games across eight seasons.

He tied his career high with 15 starts in 2024 and recorded 14 interceptions between 2021 and 2023 — second only to Dallas Cowboys’ Trevon Diggs over that stretch.

Douglas is expected to compete alongside Storm Duck, Jack Jones, Cam Smith and rookie Jason Marshall Jr. in Miami’s cornerback rotation.
