He’s been on the ice for the past several weeks, slowly but surely working his way back to game-form.

Local 10 News was there on Tuesday as Barkov did some work on the ice at the Baptist Health IcePlex in Fort Lauderdale.

Afterwards, Barkov headed across town to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, where the longtime Panthers star visited with some of the young patients.

Barkov has been partnering with the hospital since 2019, when he announced that he would donate $1,600 for every goal and $800 for every assist he logs with the Panthers.

On Tuesday Barkov announced a seven-figure donation from his foundation to the hospital.
