SUNRISE, Fla. — The Florida Panthers are reportedly losing a fan favorite in net.
Veteran goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs, according to multiple reports.
Bobrovsky agreed to a three-year, $21 million contract with Toronto, ESPN’s Kevin Weekes and SportsNet’s Elliotte Friedman confirmed Wednesday.
Bobrovsky spent seven seasons with the Panthers, helping the franchise win back-to-back Stanley Cups while becoming one of the most beloved players in team history.
The two-time Vezina Trophy winner also helped Florida eliminate Toronto in the playoffs twice over the last four seasons.
The move comes after a difficult 2025-26 season for Bobrovsky, who finished with a .877 save percentage, the worst mark of his Panthers career.
Toronto has reportedly added the 37-year-old after trading goalie Joseph Woll to the Philadelphia Flyers.
Bobrovsky’s reported departure comes shortly after the Panthers announced an eight-year contract extension for forward Eetu Luostarinen and the signing of veteran defenseman Radko Gudas, who played for the Panthers from 2020-2023.
