Micaela Valdés Rosario joined WPLG Local 10 News in October 2025 after relocating from New York City with her husband, Ronald, and two toddlers, Colette and Ronald Benjamin "Juni". She and her family are so excited to call South Florida their new home and look forward to growing, connecting and building within this dynamic and diverse community. Micaela is an Emmy-nominated and NABJ award-winning producer. She built her career from the ground up in New York City, first beginning in news with the NBC Page Program, then moving from true crime to reality shows to nationally syndicated talk shows like "The Dr. Oz Show", "The Talk", "The Drew Barrymore Show" and, finally, ending her New York journey at ABC News' "20/20" in May 2025. But at her core, Micaela is a human-interest and wellness writer with deep passions for mindfulness, longevity and meaningful connection. She recently became an RYT-200 Certified Yoga Teacher and enjoys teaching classes online and in-person...as well as sharing the yoga mat with her two, busy babies. Micaela looks forward to a long journey with WPLG where she'll get to produce high-caliber and impactful news stories on the web and for broadcast.
