Man dies after being struck by Brightline train in Fort Lauderdale
A man was killed early Tuesday morning after being struck by a Brightline train in Fort Lauderdale, police confirmed.
A portion of a street in Miami-Dade County’s rural Redland area was designated “Jimmy Ryce Avenue” a little more than three decades after the young boy’s abduction and murder.
Last week marked 30 years since the tragic loss of Jimmy Ryce. His heartbreaking story led to lasting change and his legacy lives on through a law that helps protect children in Florida.
