Pope's peace prayer for Ukraine recalls Fatima prophecy
Pope Francis prayed for peace in Ukraine in a ceremony Friday that harked back to a century-old apocalyptic prophecy about peace and Russia that was sparked by purported visions of the Virgin Mary to three peasant children in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917. Francis invited bishops, priests and ordinary faithful around the world to join him in the consecration prayer, which opened with Francis entering St. Peter's Basilica before an estimated 3,500 people and concluded with Francis sitting alone before a statue of the Madonna.

thewestsidegazette.comChildren's authors hit out at publishers for repeatedly commissioning celebrities like Duchess of Sussex
Leading children's authors have hit out at publishers trying to "swamp the competition" by continuously commissioning new books by celebrities like the Duchess of Sussex. Sales figures obtained by The Telegraph show classic authors like Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton still sell millions more copies than any modern day celebrity, with the exception of David Walliams. Ms Markle is among a number of famous faces who in recent times have written a children's book, alongside the likes of Madonna, Frank Lampard, Idris Elba and the Duchess of York. Earlier this month it was announced her first title, The Bench, would be published by Penguin Random House, and the June release is inspired by the “special bond” between her husband Prince Harry and their son Archie. But children's writers have pointed out that many end up being "absolute disasters" and that better authors are being repeatedly ignored.

Trump's Ohio suburb slide signals peril in industrial north
Trump's chances for a second term rest heavily on being able to maintain the margins he won by in 2016, particularly in suburban areas. They say that Trump, who won Ohio by 8 percentage points in 2016, maintains a yawning advantage in more rural areas and small towns. Still, Republicans are concerned that if he is losing badly in suburban areas in Ohio, it is a signal that Trump’s hold on other states in the industrial heartland that delivered him the presidency may be in peril. In the blue-collar suburbs of Youngstown, where Trump won by double digits, the same appears to be true. Former Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine, a second-cousin to Gov.

Protests in Trump country test his hold in rural white areas
Far from the industrial norths urban centers, hundreds of protests over black injustice have cropped up in small cities in rural areas. The protests in these Republican-leaning areas offer a test of the president's ability to reassemble his older, white voting bloc. No, you cant.Trump carried Pennsylvania by about 44,000 votes in 2016, in part with overwhelming support from a patchwork of rural, white counties. Dozens of protests have taken place in counties in these four battleground states that Trump flipped from Democrat to Republican. If Biden carries every state Clinton did in 2016 and reclaims Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, he would win a majority of the Electoral College votes.
7 concert films you should watch if you’re really missing live music
Some experts believe it could be more than a year until live concerts return to our daily lives, which is heartbreaking for people who love seeing live music. So until then, the next best thing to do is watch a concert movie from one of your favorite artists. Look no further than Beyoncé's “Homecoming,” her live concert that was filmed in 2018 when she headlined Coachella, the Southern California music festival. From the costumes, dancing and marching band music arrangements, Beyoncé transformed Coachella into “Beychella,” and we’re lucky enough that the entire show is documented. Not only is Timberlake’s music incredible catchy, but the production value that went into this show, especially the choreography, makes it worth visiting.
