Unbeaten Steelers maintain top spot in AP Pro32 poll
(AP Photo/Gail Burton)NEW YORK – All the votes are in. And the Pittsburgh Steelers kept the top spot in the latest AP Pro32 poll. The Steelers received 10 of the 12 first-place votes for 382 points in balloting Tuesday by media members who regularly cover the NFL. The Steelers improved to 7-0 for the second time in franchise history after holding off the Baltimore Ravens 28-24 on Sunday. And the Arizona Cardinals, who are coming off a bye, moved up one spot to round out the top 10.

Steelers stay perfect, blow out Mayfield, Browns 38-7

Former Jets safety Doug Middleton signs with Dolphins
Doug Middleton appears in a preseason game with the New York Jets. MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The Miami Dolphins have signed former New York Jets safety Doug Middleton. Middleton was signed to fill the spot vacated by 2018 first-round draft pick Minkah Fitzpatrick, who asked for and was granted a trade. After spending the 2017 season on injured reserve, Middleton spent 2018 as a backup to Marcus Maye. He started four games in place of the injured Maye last year but was cut before the start of this season.

After flurry of moves, Dolphins GM Chris Grier finally speaks
"For us, we've positioned ourselves to where the organization thinks we're going to be in a good position soon," Grier said. Grier met with the media for the first time since the start of the regular season. We're trying to build them a winner," Grier answered in regards to fans. As far as the Tunsil trade that saw Miami deal one of the best young tackles in the NFL to Houston in exchange for two first-round draft picks, Grier said Tunsil saw the offer and said "I'd trade me for that." Grier added that the Fitzpatrick trade was made because of the defensive back's unhappiness with the position he was playing.

A news release Tuesday confirmed the reports that safety Minkah Fitzpatrick had been dealt. In return for Fitzpatrick, the Dolphins will receive a 2020 first-round pick, along with a fifth-round pick in next year's draft and a sixth-round pick in 2021. Fitzpatrick started 13 of the 18 games in which he played for Miami, totaling 90 tackles and two interceptions.
