It appears that Superintendent Cartwright was able to avoid being buried under a pile of sand at last Tuesday’s Board meeting. Sources tell Traceit that she is celebrating by throwing up handfuls of colored sand. Street Detective Traceit is told she wants Cartwright buried as well. Most are a part of the Blanche Ely community where the school has been ignored for years.

MIAMI – For the first time in 35 years, the Big Orange won’t be part of the countdown this New Year’s Eve in downtown Miami. Neon, said he is keeping the iconic orange stored in his studio in Hialeah this year. “This would have been my 35th year putting it up,” Carpenter said. Carpenter said the sculptural 30-foot wide display weighs 2,000 pounds. “Now, I can go to a party, but then nobody is having them because of the COVID.”The cancelation of the NYE party in downtown Miami doesn’t mean there won’t be any parties in Miami-Dade County.

Amid pandemic, Live Nation announces drive-in concert series
(AP Photo)NEW YORK Tour promoter Live Nation has announced its first-ever drive-in concerts series in the U.S. for July, months after the live music industry has been on lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. All venue staff are required to wear masks, and Live Nation requests that attendees wear masks upon arrival, where there will be contact-less ticket scanning through their windows. Masks are not required once fans are in their designated tailgate areas, and Live Nation is not requiring that fans wear gloves. Tom See, president of Live Nation Venues-US Concerts, said the company spent months working to find a safe, enjoyable way to put on live shows during the pandemic. A menu of hot food items and nonalcoholic will be available for purchase, Live Nation said.

Art collector Wayne Boich hosted a lavish dinner at his home Friday night that included Dan Marino, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. The city of Miami Beach commissioned a million-dollar traffic jam by artist Leandro Erlich. It took 330 tons(300 metric tons) of sand to construct 66 life-sized sculptures of cars and trucks stuck in an imaginary traffic jam on the oceanfront of popular Lincoln Road. The Miami Beach EDITION hotel was also eco-conscious with its Museum of Plastic pop-up where visitors were guided through an interactive experience that tells the story of the singleuse plastic water bottle. Cats actor Idris Elba was slated to spin tracks along with Diplo at club Basement on Saturday night.
