Swap Shop deals with water in Sunrise, Lauderhill residents take to canoes
In Lauderhill, residents woke up to find their streets knee-deep in water. He couldn’t drive his car through the deep water. One group of people pushed their car to higher ground so they wouldn’t have to start the engine in high water. Back at the Swap Shop, we asked the security guard what plans there were to drain the water. He said there was no point in pumping out the water because the canals nearby were so full, the water would flow back into the lot.

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – A shooting on a Saturday afternoon at the Swap Shop left one man dead Saturday afternoonLauderhill Police said they were called to the indoor/outdoor flea market at 3291 W. Sunrise Blvd. at 1:40 p.m. after receiving calls of a shooting victim with injuries. According to the initial investigation by police, two men got into an argument after one of them was causing a disturbance. The shooter did remain on the scene and is being question by detectives, according to Lauderhill police. LAUDERHILL, Fla. – A storage unit caught fire Tuesday afternoon at the Swap Shop in Lauderhill, authorities confirmed. Lauderhill Fire Rescue officials said no injuries were reported after the incident at 3295 W. Sunrise Blvd. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No other details were immediately released.
SUV slams into Swap Shop in Lauderhill
LAUDERHILL, Fla. - A driver had a medical episode Wednesday and crashed his SUV into the Swap Shop in Lauderhill. The SUV slammed into a booth at the Swap Shop, injuring the driver. A witness told Local 10 News the driver is a Swap Shop seller who has a history of seizures. He said the driver was taken to a hospital. The SUV was towed away.
