Marvel Studios re-releases “Spider-Man: No Way Home” with additional footage
Last December, Marvel Studios released its third installment of the Spider-Man movies featuring British actor Tom Holland. Movie trailers teased main character Peter Parker dealing with the consequences of “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” scenes of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and villains from older Spider-Man films such as Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus. Seeing all three Spider-Men on screen sent Marvel fanatics into a full circle frenzy, with some viewing the film multiple times. Most importantly, the previous end credit scene from the original release — the “Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness” trailer — was replaced with a real end-credit scene. As a whole, “Spider-Man: No Way Home (The More Fun Stuff Version)” is a wonderful re-watch for fans who enjoy the wit and feel-good aspects of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man films.themiamihurricane.com

Tunnel plan near Stonehenge gets UK government consent
LONDON – The British government went against the recommendations of planning officials Thursday, approving controversial plans for a road tunnel to be built near the prehistoric monument of Stonehenge in southern England. The A303 highway, which is a popular route for motorists traveling to and from the southwest of England, is often severely congested around the single-lane section of road near Stonehenge. As part of widespread improvements, a two-mile tunnel will be built that will effectively remove the sight and sound of traffic passing the site, and cut journey times. The Stonehenge Alliance, which has campaigned against the tunnel, said it “deeply regrets” a decision that will be greeted with “shock” around the world. The group added that the plan will breach the U.K.'s international treaty obligations “not to damage” the World Heritage Site.

How coronavirus could permanently change the movie industry
The COVID-19 coronavirus outrbreak has sparked a dramatic first for the movie industry: movies are being made available at home the same time they're available in theaters. This could fundamentally changes studios' leverage in negotiations with theater chains, permanently alter consumer behavior and raise the bar significantly for going out to the movies. And Disney would typically wait additional months, not just two weeks, before offering the film on its subscription Disney+. Theater chains have resisted a push by AT&T/WarnerMedia's Warner Brothers and Comcast's Universal Pictures in particular to allow them to shorten that window for certain films. That all comes down to how much negotiating leverage the theater chains have.cnbc.com
