Virginia Tech football player Isimemen Etute, 18, was charged with second-degree murder after the death of a Blacksburg resident. Detectives were then called to the scene to initiate a death investigation, later ruling the death a homicide. Ultimately, the win keeps Miami in the crowded race for a spot in the ACC Coastal Division conference championship game. Miami (6-4, 4-3 ACC) currently sits in fourth place in the seven-team Coastal Division, with the divisions winner playing the Atlantic Divisions champion on Dec. 7 in Charlotte, North Carolina. All scenarios here assume that Miami will defeat Duke in the regular season finale on November 30, which is the Canes lone remaining conference game in 2019. Virginia Tech has the same 3-2 record as Pitt, but holds the tiebreaker over Miami due to their 42-35 win in Miami Gardens on Oct. 5. And finally, North Carolina, who sits behind the Hurricanes in the standings but has an extra conference game and holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Canes, must lose one of its remaining ACC games.

Not only did Williams lead Miami to a historic win, but he made history himself, throwing six passing touchdowns, breaking the record for number of passing touchdowns thrown in a single game by a Miami quarterback. So, just coming here, I expected to do something different, to break records.Williams also tied the Atlantic Coast Conference record with six passing touchdowns. If you take away the three interceptions that Williams threw against Virginia Tech back in early October, the redshirt freshman quarterback would have 16 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Completing 67 percent of his passes, Williams has undoubtedly proved that he can and will continue to lead the Canes to success. There is also still a small chance that Miami could win the ACC Coastal Division and play in the ACC Championship.

Perry will be making his third-straight start this season after stepping in for Williams who was injured early in an Oct. 5 loss to Virginia Tech, where the latter threw three interceptions on seven pass attempts before being pulled for then-backup Perry. Williams appears to be healthy and will be backing up Perry while third-string quarterback Tate Martell will miss the game with a medical leave of absence, the team said. The Panthers lead the nation in sacks per game, while Miami ranks 127 out of 129 teams in sacks allowed per game.

After a gut-wrenching 42-35 loss to Virginia Tech last week, the Miami Hurricanes (2-3, 0-2) had a short week to prepare to face No. After a few days of speculation about who would be the starting quarterback against Virginia, head coach Manny Diaz named Perry the starter after practice on Wednesday. This year, between Perry and Wiliams, Miami is averaging 315 passing yards per game, 11th in the country. The college football prognosticators are unanimously picking seventh-ranked Auburn to beat No. The group is all in on the Wolverines, although Ian said he'd favor the Hawkeyes if they were playing at home. Hill only played in three games in the 2018 season and was dismissed from the team by Hokies coach Justin Fuente following a halftime locker room confrontation against Old Dominion. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in property management, Hill entered the transfer portal, leading him to the Miami Hurricanes for his final season of eligibility as a graduate transfer. Hill is still close with many of his former Virginia Tech teammates, but said he is happy to now be a Hurricane.

Virginia Techs consistent attempts at goal proved too much for a Miami team that couldnt keep up with the sheer volume of shots. With the 16 Virginia Tech shots being spread over both halves (eight in each), Miamis strong offensive series appeared in small pockets. Scoring in both the 7th and 85th minute for Virginia Tech, Emily Gray ups her tally to three goals against the Hurricanes as a sophomore. She leads Virginia Tech with 10 points through their first nine games. The Hurricanes next match is against Boston College on Sept. 26 in their second conference game of the season.

C&E Gun Shows Inc. announced the cancellation on its website and Facebook page and offered its condolences to the community. New Zealand's largest gun show was canceled in March after a gunman killed 51 people at two Christchurch mosques. Gun shows were also canceled in Las Vegas after the 2017 shooting at the Route 91 music festival.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes have let go of long-time offensive line coach Art Kehoe. The Miami Herald is reporting that head coach Mark Richt let him go this week. Kehoe has been with the Canes program for 31 years. Kehoe has 5 national championship rings. Richt is bringing in former Virginia Tech offensive line coach Stacy Searels.
