PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A Flood Watch has been canceled for Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Widespread steady rain occurred during the morning commute in both counties.
“When it is raining really hard, and it is like pouring, we have to be stuck in the rain waiting for the bus,” Sarah Paguada, of Miami, said.
But the rain will gradually diminish throughout the day due to a plume of Saharan Dust that will be filtering in from the south.
Low pressure will also begin moving north Wednesday. This will bring a gradual end to the rainy period we`ve had across South Florida over the past few days.
The highs will moderately warm into the mid-80s on Wednesday and the 90s are set to return Friday.
We will have some light showers along the coast Wednesday with an occasional downpour or two developing in the afternoon.
Additional flooding, if any, will be very isolated and not much of a concern Wednesday.
Thursday will be even drier. It will be hazy with a decent amount of clouds still lingering.
By the weekend, we are back to a more typical pattern.
High temperatures will reach around 90 degrees with a few pop-up storms each afternoon. Still, there will be lots of dry time for outdoor plans.
