Most of the storms early Thursday have been in the Florida Keys, but Broward and Miami-Dade Counties will get in on the storms this afternoon. Some storms will produce intense lightning, gusty winds, and minor flooding. Some of these will last into the evening, but there will be a lull between rounds of storms later tonight.
Expect the next round of storms to fire up early Friday morning, especially in the Keys. It will not be a continuous rainfall, but expect several rounds through the day. High temperatures will be closer to average at 90° with the extra clouds around.
For the weekend, it will not be a washout. Perhaps not as many thunderstorms as what we’ve seen recently, but we will still get scattered pop ups in the afternoon.
