Nov. 26: Cold front to arrive ahead of Thanksgiving

A cold front is on the way and will arrive Thursday afternoon. Ahead of the front, humidity has increased and the atmosphere is becoming more unstable, so look for some showers and a possible thunderstorm today, with a better chance as we head into Thanksgiving tomorrow. I don’t anticipate a widespread washout, but if you’re planning to have turkey dinner outdoors in the backyard, you might want to have a “Plan B” just in case. Cooler, drier weather moves in for Friday and Saturday before more showers roll in to wrap up the holiday weekend on Sunday. Highs will be in the mid-80s today and tomorrow before dropping into the 70s by Friday. No major travel issues are expected statewide, but watch out for spotty showers if you’re on the roads today and tomorrow.
