Dec. 28: Cooler temperatures arrive in South Florida as new year begins

After a mild weekend across South Florida, we will ring in the new year with cooler temperatures.

The cooldown will be courtesy of a strong cold front that swings across the state Tuesday. It will bring a few passing showers Tuesday afternoon. The last day of 2025 will feature highs in the 70s, but temperatures will tumble throughout the day. The chilly change will be most pronounced by New Year’s Eve morning, when lows drop into the 50s.

Before the front arrives, conditions will remain warm, with highs in the lower 80s on Monday. Enjoy!
