Dec. 31: Chilly New Year’s Eve with sunshine and cold winds

Happy New Year’s Eve! It’s a chilly start on Wednesday morning, with temperatures in the 40s. Grab your sweaters, jackets and boots as we expect plenty of sunshine, but a brisk north wind will keep highs only in the mid-60s.

For celebrations tonight welcoming 2026, be prepared for wind chill temperatures in the 40s. We could feel the coldest air of the season if temperatures drop below 47 degrees in Miami. The last time temperatures fell into the 40s was Jan. 1, 2025, and Nov. 11, 2025.

Stay warm and be safe — see you in 2026!
