While about half of the country is dealing with wicked winter weather—including heavy snow, ice, and arctic cold — it’s a very different world here in South Florida, a.k.a. paradise. We’ll see warm and mainly dry weather throughout the weekend, with all of that winter weather staying well north of us. In fact, temperatures may even climb to record highs in the mid-80s by tomorrow.
The best chance for any weekend rain locally will be around a 20% chance of isolated afternoon thunderstorms as the sea breeze develops and clashes with our unseasonably warm air. Sunday looks dry and very warm, but our next cold front — attached to that winter storm up north — will move through with a few showers late Monday.
The rest of next week will remain cooler and mainly dry, with highs in the 60s and 70s and overnight lows in the 40s and 50s.
