Keep the umbrellas in the closet, but make sure you have your sunglasses handy this weekend! This is the kind of weekend we were dreaming of back in July and August, when we had “feels-like” temperatures in the 100s. Fast-forward to Saturday, and we’re looking at morning lows in the 50s with afternoon highs in the mid-70s. Now that’s why we live here, right?

A very dry air mass covers SoFlo. In fact, atmospheric moisture is in the top 10% of driest conditions for today’s date, according to records, so there’s no rain in the forecast through the weekend — and even through the next seven days. Our drought conditions will worsen as a result, which could lead to a bad fire season by April and May if things don’t turn around.
