It’s another warm day with highs around 83°. We’re still getting a stiff breeze off the Atlantic with gusts up to 25-30mph. Along this breeze are some occasional showers. They may be briefly heavy but should only last a matter of minutes. Even so, some areas could still pick up a quick quarter inch of much-needed rainfall. This is certainly a benefit to our severe to extreme drought that is ongoing.
A weak disturbance will swing by South Florida from the Caribbean later this week and could enhance some of the shower activity. Even a few thunderstorms will be possible later this week into Saturday. This is a welcomed sight considering we only had measurable rain on one day last month in Miami, and it didn’t even add up to a tenth of an inch.
