Today will be identical to Tuesday with mostly dry weather and warm highs near 85°. It could even be a couple degrees warmer tomorrow with the first signs the pattern is changing. A few thunderstorms could develop late in the afternoon (after 4 p.m.) Even higher chances move in Friday through next week as a weakening front stalls out over the area.
There will still be plenty of dry time this weekend, but expect rounds of showers and thunderstorms at times. They will favor the afternoons when we heat up to the low 80s. This is the best opportunity so far this year to help the severe to extreme drought across Florida. It’s not expected to eliminate the drought, but it’s a big step in the right direction.
