March 14: Much-needed scattered showers, thunderstorms arrive

Keep your umbrella handy. It’s a wet weekend forecast! A front is stuck over South Florida with cooler, drier air covering north Florida and warmer more tropical air here locally. This front will wobble back and forth across the area the next several days and will help spark scattered showers & t’storms each day, some of which will be heavy with localized flooding in some of those heavier downpours. The forecast remains unsettled through the middle of next week before a stronger front moves in and eventually clears all of this moisture out of here later next week. Not great news if you have any outdoor plans, but at least it’ll help alleviate the drought a bit!
