Mar. 20: Dry, sunny weekend ahead after coastal showers in South Florida

We picked up about a half-inch of rain along the coastline from Fort Lauderdale to Miami today, with occasional showers moving in off the Atlantic. Inland areas stayed mostly dry.

Those showers have now mostly fizzled out, setting up for nice weather for Friday night plans.

This also sets the stage for a really pleasant weekend. High temperatures will be around 80 degrees with plenty of sunshine. There’s no chance of rain, so there’s no need to bring an umbrella.

Humidity will stay low, and temperatures will drop into the 60s after sunset. No storm systems or cold fronts are expected over the next week.
