March 22: Spring brings beautiful weekend weather to South Florida

This first weekend of spring continues to be beautiful with tons of sunshine, warm temperatures, and low humidity. It’s perfect for all outdoor activities however there’s still a lingering risk of rip currents at the east coast beaches through today so only swim at guarded beaches.

High pressure is smothering South Florida with its roots extending all the way back to the western U.S. so it looks like a quiet but very nice week of weather for us with our next rain chance not arriving until next Saturday.

This sets us up for increasing fire conditions and a worsening drought, something we’ll continue to monitor throughout the week. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s this week but a little cooler at the beaches. Overnight lows will be in the comfortable low to middle 60s.
