While spring break is in full swing for some, it’s back to work and school for others under sunny, warm skies to begin the new week. High pressure covers South Florida and most of the southern U.S., keeping the weather really quiet and comfortable through at least the middle of this week. Our drought conditions won’t improve at all this week with limited (if any) rain chances in our forecast through the end of the work week. Chances for showers & storms might increase by the weekend, but until then, keep the sunglasses handy and leave the umbrellas in the closet. Highs will be near normal this week averaging in the lower-to-middle 80s with overnight lows in the low-to-middle 60s and even a few upper 50s in the western suburbs. Beach and boating conditions look nice the next few days with light winds and no advisories in effect.
