April 17: Isolated showers early, warmer and more humid conditions ahead

We started Friday with a couple of isolated showers, mainly in Broward County. Most of these will shift west out of our area this afternoon, leading to a mostly dry day. High temperatures will reach the mid-80s with noticeably higher humidity than yesterday.

We could also see a few light showers this weekend, but most areas will remain dry. The bigger story is the jump in temperatures. By Sunday, we will have the warmest air of the year so far, with highs just shy of 90 degrees. It will be very muggy, too, with calm winds that may make the air feel slightly stagnant to end the weekend.

A weak front will bring the chance of more scattered showers Monday, along with a drop in temperatures. Highs may not even reach 80 degrees on Tuesday.
