May 3: Cool evening, some overnight showers

A cold front now south of our region brought a big change across the region today. For one, temperatures are not as hot as Saturday. Today Miami peaked at 82 degrees. Secondly, showers and storms dumped much need rain across. Miami picked up close to one inch of rain.

The front will stall. Additionally, numerous scattered showers will continue to surge across South Florida overnight. Some pockets of heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding.

Clouds will remain thick Monday morning with lingering showers to start. Temperatures will reach the lower 80s. An area of low pressure will develop along the front, and that could help bring additional showers into the region by the afternoon.
